The Guarlford Story

Sam Beard: served as a Private with 12th Battalion, Worcestershire Regt in GB and Iceland, 1941-1942; served as NCO with 173 Battery, 179 Field Regt, Royal Artillery in GB and North West Europe, 1942-1945; served with 130th Field Regt, RA in India, 1945. Ended war with rank of Battery Sergeant Major. Continued to serve in the Territorial Army until about 1966.
